Opportunities sometimes comes once in a lifetime
April 28, 2009

I have known Tenison and Maria ever since I was sixteen years old back at our church in Newark. We were all in the same youth group. Maria was a very shy Portuguese girl a couple of years younger than me, she would go blush red whenever Tenison Would come and speak to her, not because she liked him but because he would get so close to her ear that she felt so awkward. He asked her out constantly and her reply was always NO and go pray, get more serious with God. He would call her and they would speak on the phone ( this was before cell phones and email) for hours and hours and he even dated other girls but his heart was with the Portuguese gal who told him he could not sit in front of the car but he needed to go sit in the back.He fell in love then and told her she would bear his children and she just laughed. Their talks on the phone grew as each week went by but Tenison had not heard a yes yet. A couple of years later they started dating and Tenison had been praying, fasting, doing all he could do to win her heart for good. Until one day when she asked him “ do you want to marry me”? He explained in last week’s service that there are opportunities that only come once in a lifetime and after so many no’s, a breakup, he was not going to pass up this one. Almost 10 years later they are expecting there third child who is another boy. They Pastor the World Worship Church in South River ( www.adoracaomundial.com) NJ and God has blessed them and they could never imagined the plans God had for them and their family. Here are some of our very fast photo shoot of the family.
