The Sidelines

September 14, 2009

What a week, I am still recuperating from my trip to Brazilian Day Canada in Toronto, Canada and working on many cool things at the moment. First and for most just wanted to thank my boys and hubbie, they have been such good sports lately in understanding my needs with the business and family. Since my work is mainly of people, family is vital, weddings are for couples starting a new life together, maternity for couples becoming a bigger family, kids are result of the growing family and so it is all about family. So a big shout out to my siblings who are starting a new school year, all 4 teenagers now at the Lima Household as well as for Lucas who just had his first day of soccer practice today and I stood there in the sidelines, under some rain and watched proudly of my boy learning, learning about being in a team, learning about falling and getting up, learning to blow mommy kisses and yell I am tired, learning about staying where the coach tells him to, learning about offense and defense, learning when it is time for a break to get a drink, learning that he needs to aim for the goal and it is ok if he does not make the goal, learning to have fun, learning to go the right way, learning to listen, learning to compete, learning that he can do anything if he puts his mind to it. I watched each parent proudly as they sat there with their umbrellas cheering the kiddos away, some saying ” the ball, kick the ball,” others just video taping, little young brothers and sisters waiting as well watching, some wanting attention and throwing themselves on the grass and asking for cookies and water and others eyes wide open watching and l looked around and I admired those parents that are there for their kids from the start, directing their children, cheering them on, wish other countries believed in sports as America does, believe in kids as America does and believed in dreams as America does.I watched and I was thankful, thankful for my mom still even after 30 years cheering me on to be all I can be, to reach for the stars, to be successful, to learn more and more about photography and photography business, lovingly, patiently and watching by the side lines proudly and always encouraging me to learn from the best and attend workshops and since we need some pixs to make this post a bit more pleasant to the eyes. Here are some pixs from Tofurious Coffee Tour, as well as some more the concert at Brazilian Day Toronto.

Bianca Valentim: very good Feuza!

Marcia: Feuza, I love the passion in your photos and in your words.

ajira darch: Glad you got to see Tofurious... I was bummed to miss his visit to San Francisco, wasn't possible with the baby that day. Would you do a post and share some of what you learned?
